CCTV Donation Program

Photo of Camper using a CCTV at NJBCAClosed Circuit Television devices (CCTVs) are assistive reading devices that magnify printed materials, such as books and photographs, and display them on large screens.  The devices are valued at up to $3,000 each, making them very difficult for members of the general public to obtain.

Starting in 2009, NJBCA started donating CCTVs to deserving blind/visually impaired adults and children across the state.  Not only has this program improved the quality of life for many, it has also provided a great educational benefit for the recipients.

Since the end of 2009, dozens of CCTVs have been donated through NJBCA and a device was permanently placed at Camp Happiness for the use of our clients and visitors, opening new doors for so many.

To donate a CCTV, or if you know someone who could benefit from a CCTV but cannot afford one, please contact Doug Scott at 732-291-0878.
